Homosexual marriages are against religion and they’re destroying the country.

           

            Do you want to see the world without children?

According to me without children there isn’t the world, without children there isn’t the happiness of marriage.  The happiness of marriage is children, what is the benefit of getting marriage without having children? .By  allowing marriage of same-sex would caused decreasing of the population, and let them to get marriage would  increase gays or lesbians  in the country. The happiness of marriage is children. What is the benefit of getting marriage without having children?

 Children are important part of marriage. Having gay marriage would destroy life of many children,  because most children that are raised to in single parent families are not happy at all and they will be disadvantage because of poverty, and the lack of a second parent to give them more care and attention than one parent can provide.

 Same- sex lifestyle isn’t something to encourage it weaken family traditional, and the values of society and it providing slippery slop in the legality of marriage, it also weaken the definition of marriage. Gay marriage is increasing divorce in the country, both sexes is vitally important to the developmental needs of children because it help them form their sexual identity.

More states don’t want gay marriage than do. Those states that allow same- sex marriage to get marriage think that if this is a free country they should it citizen to be gay and allow them to get married just as they allow them to be straight. States that don’t allow same- sex marriage think that allowing them  to get married would cause many problem like divorce and teenage are get pregnant easily here in USA we had  breakdown of marriage and it already had devastating effects on society, specially on children  letting them get married will cause more and more problem.

I think that accepting same- sex marriage would not help at all. It doesn’t say in the bible that a man and a man should or could  get married, when god created Adam after he created Eve so they could have children and increase the population. God wasn’t stupid when he did it, he knew it before he do it, and he has his own reason so why don’t we do the something I mean respect his wish. I also think we should not have gay or lesbians.  Marriage has been defined as a religion and legal commitment between a man and a woman.

Baker v. Nelson

Date: October 10, 1972

Court: Minnesota supreme court 

background:
Nelson was a town clerk who didn't give Baker and another man a marriage licens.

Question:

1.) Should same-sex couples to be able to get married in Minnesota.

2.)  Can the Federal Government control marriage?

Pro: Not letting same-sex couple get married is unconstitutional.

Con: state law implies marriage should be between a man and a woman so they can have babies.

Decision: no gay marriage for Minnesota and the supreme court said it's up to the states government to decide.

Baker v. State of Vermont

Date: December 20, 1999

Court: Vermont Supreme Court

Background: 3 Gay Couples wanted to get married in  Vermont and were not given marriage licenses.

Question: Should gay couples have the same legal rights as straight couples?

Pro: The government should give gay people the same rights as everyone else because of the National Constitution.

Con: people think it's wrong and the government shouldn't tell the religions what to do. Also the Vermont Constitution does not say gay people can be married.

Decision: No gay marriage in Vermont.

What Happened?: Civil Unions became legal.

Reaction to Interview

Interview with Christine W.

1. Should we have gay and lesbian marriages? Why?  Yes, we should.  We are all equal and they need to have the same rights that we all do.  They make wonderful families.  I believe in the equity of all,.
2. Do you think that everybody should have civil union like in France?  They should be allowed to be married, not just civil unions.
3. Do you agree with DOMA ( defense of marriage act)?  I disagree with it.
4. In your religion how is gay marriage perceived?  I don't have a religion.  I have my own feelings about the world.  It's A-okay.
5. What about benefits if they had kids?.... for example health care, custody rights?  If it becomes legal than if it's okay for them to be a legal couple then they should have all those rights.
6. Do think that it okay to oppose the law for religious reasons?  Everyone has their opinion.  Everyone's entitled to have a belief, opinion and I would have to respect that.
